Sporting about the Midwest

Colorado was AMAZING! Something tells me I’m going back… It was so gorgeous and full of the Lord’s majesty and beauty!

 I look to the mountains; where will my help come from?

My help will come from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Psalms 121:1-2

God’s blessings are like a river. They fill the city of God with joy. That city is the holy place where the Most High God lives. Psalms 46:4

He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Psalms 1:3

He only is my rock and my salvation: [He is] my high tower; I shall not be moved. Psalms 62:6

Royal Gorge:

Enough scenery. . .

Here are some snapshots of the wedding:  (sorry about the blurry pics.  I don’t know why they are getting that way on here…?)

The happy new couple. Aka: Mr. & Mrs. Jenks

All of us bunched together attempting smiles {with growling bellies and sleep deprivation … }

The 3 Texans BM’s

Mr. Preacherman with his lovely wife and daughter.

(Daughter – AKA: my choco niece!)

Some dear friends were made J (fellow Pa-ers!)

And the dancing! {No, it wasn’t dirty}

Very fast & hip-hoppity!

Dancing wasn’t on my list of things to do before I’m 40 but I might as well have been. It was so much fun. A very neat tradition. So celebratory and fitting at a wedding! This was Jewish type dancing. One of the dances is called the hora – you may have heard of it. If you’ve seen dancing at Sight & Sound in Lanc, Pa you have seen it. It was very fun, clean and happy. There was not DJ. It was all very unofficial and casual. Anybody could jump in; you didn’t have to be perfect or know all the steps! Yes, there were lots of laughs!!

~ Moving on. . .

Looking forward to:

  • School being over
  • My mother flying down
  • Anita King coming to visit

Got a new phone. I have given up a piece of my past, my family, my stomping grounds, what I’ve always had.

I switched from AT&T to Verizon. I’m not rejoicing. I’m just sayin’… AT&T in all its coolness was just not getting it done in Texas.

Sometimes you do what you have to do.
